Our History
1989
Tradestream was established in 1989, trading as Saxport Agencies, and acquired the business of Bolton Maritime that same year which focused on the export of break-bulk cargo from South Africa, primarily to the United States.
2006
In 2006, the company increased its service offering to include a comprehensive range of freight forwarding and clearing services.
2010
In 2010, warehousing and bonded cargo facilities were acquired in Johannesburg whilst expanding nationally with branches in the Durban, Cape Town and Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth) regions and formally entering the project logistics market.
2014
In 2014, Tradestream Technology, a supply chain management software systems house, was acquired and Saxport Agencies was rebranded as Tradestream.
2016
In 2016, the company disposed of the R&D portion of the Tradestream Technology business to its former directors.
2020
In 2020, the company opened its Richards Bay branch.
2023
In 2023, additional warehousing and office space was acquired adjacent to our head office in Johannesburg and today.
