Our Mission

“Partnering growth of our select clients through our comprehensive and competitive international logistics, trade finance and information technology competencies.”

Our History

Tradestream was established in 1989, trading as Saxport Agencies, and acquired the business of Bolton Maritime that same year which focused on the export of break-bulk cargo from South Africa, primarily to the United States.

In 2006, the company increased its service offering to include a comprehensive range of freight forwarding and clearing services.

In 2010, warehousing and bonded cargo facilities were acquired in Johannesburg whilst expanding nationally with branches in the Durban, Cape Town and Gqeberha (formerly Port Elizabeth) regions and formally entering the project logistics market.

In 2014, Tradestream Technology, a supply chain management software systems house, was acquired and Saxport Agencies was rebranded as Tradestream.

In 2016, the company disposed of the R&D portion of the Tradestream Technology business to its former directors.

In 2020, the company opened its Richards Bay branch.

In 2023, additional warehousing and office space was acquired adjacent to our head office in Johannesburg and today.

Tradestream operates under three strategic business units:

   •  Tradestream Logistics
